David L. Jackson was raised in Miami-Dade County by Jamaican immigrant parents.
He earned the Posse Academic and Leadership Scholarship, studied history and education at Syracuse University, and has spent more than a decade working in education, juvenile justice, nonprofit leadership, and organizational strategy.
He is the author of Why Not You? The Practical Guide to Achieving Leadership and the memoir UNTITLED: Welcome To My Mind.
He is the co-founder and CEO of Project Transforming Hope, a youth development initiative serving young people across Miami-Dade, Broward, and Palm Beach counties. David has stood on stages at Yale, Georgia Tech, Johns Hopkins, and the National Student Leadership Conference.
He has designed curriculum, led retreats, coached leaders, and facilitated content for some of the country’s most respected institutions. The through line in all of it: everyone deserves a chance to win. That conviction drives every experience he creates.
